Francine asked me today if my Cropped Blocks could be used in combination, making the quilt center with one pattern and border with another. I was sure that would work, but I still had to play with them, just to see what I could create. Here's the result. The blocks I used were Cropped Star and Jen's Marble. The blocks in the center were rotated and flipped. The border blocks not changed very much, but could be played with as much as you want. Thanks for the push, Francine! That was fun! The blocks are designed as squares and will rotate and fit together with no problem. Allowing the software to size them for total quilt dimensions may adjust length and/or width and cause them not to fit together when rotated.
